Student Ministry Pastor
ROLE: The Pastor of Student Ministries will oversee ministering to Junior High and Senior High students and their families in an effort to fulfill our disciple-making mission.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Follower of Jesus – personal testimony of saving faith
- Bachelor’s Degree/Bible training/Experience (preferred)
- Exhibit godly character of an elder (1 Timothy 3 & Titus 1)
- Exhibits gifts of leadership, administration, teaching, and shepherding
- Agreement with Monument’s doctrinal statement, mission, & philosophy of ministry
- Computer & technological skill – proficient with basic computer software & video editing
- Ability to lead a team and work with teams
- Good communicator (verbal and written)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Weekly/Ongoing
- Attend staff meeting & special staff events/retreats
- Develop & oversee a student ministry program that is focused on fulfilling our disciple-making mission (winning, growing, and equipping students)
- Recruit & train a team of adults who are passionate about ministering to students
- Oversee Sunday morning Student Bible Fellowship Classes (choosing curriculum, teaching regularly, and recruiting teachers)
- Oversee weekly Ignite (Jr. High & High school program) – Plan/lead activities & message
- Connect/encourage Trek (Jr. High) students on Wednesday nights
- 1-1/small group personal discipling of students
- Greet visiting students & parents at Sunday morning worship service
- Connect with current students & parents at Sunday morning worship service
- Help students get connected to ministry inside and outside of the church
- Attend students’ events (games, concerts, drama, graduations, etc.)
- Maintain/update youth ministry loft to create an environment for most effective ministry
- Minister to unreached students in the community
Administration
- Maintain current database of Jr high & Sr. high students
- Develop, maintain, & promote student ministry calendar
- Maintain student ministry social media pages – use as a tool for encouragement & communication
- Prepare and oversee the student ministry budget
- Prepare end of year ministry report for annual meeting
Additional/Occasional
- Oversee/Provide biblical counseling & encouragement for students
- Plan/lead hangouts, special events, retreats, & mission trips
- Choose/present gift & prayer for seniors on “Grad Sunday”
- Participate in special all-church worship gatherings (Christmas Eve Eve, Good Friday, Easter, & lake service)
- Baptize students
COMPENSATION
- Up to $20,500 - Annual compensation set by the elders & deacons and approved by congregation at annual meeting
